My name is Dean Matthews. I own and operate Dean's Taxidermy located at my home in Pine Hall N.C. Where I live with my wife Jada and our three children Mark, Ashley and Tyler. The shop is operated as a part time business due to my full time job as a Paramedic Supervisor for Rockingham County Emergency Services for over the past 22 years. I have always been an avid hunter and fisherman and decided to learn taxidermy around 17 years ago and have had the shop opened for the past 15 years. My main goal has always been to produce top quality work for my customers. To make sure each piece has that quality. I treat each mount with the utmost care from the time you drop it off till the time you pick it up. I am a member of the National Taxidermy Association as well as the North Carolina Taxidermy Association. I try to keep my turnaround times as short as possible which depends on the overall work load of the shop. As a working man myself I understand the value of a dollar and attempt to keep my prices as low as possible. I may not be the cheapest but I ask you to look at the quality of my work and ask yourself do you want to spend less now for a mount that won't hold up or pay a little more for a mount that will last you a lifetime. I am dedicated to the art of taxidermy and strive to be one of the best in this business and was honored to receive the title of National Champion for a whitetail deer at the national competition. by competing in professional competitions and staying updated on all the latest techniques allows me to do just that. Please look around the site at some of my work or call and come by the shop to see the work first hand before you make up your mind. I have references available upon request and look forward to helping you create that work of art you have always wanted and one that will last you a lifetime. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and as always may God Bless.
